How long can Sanjaya remain on American Idol? I think he has a great voice, but he doesn’t belong on American Idol. He just doesn’t have the persona to win it. But, it’s seems like week in and week out, he gets by, while better singers are getting weeded out. I guess you could blame it on Vote For the Worst.

Last week I made a post about Antonella Barba. Many people thought they were getting a juicy story but instead they got my case study of Technorati and internet traffic. I was really curious this morning about what would happen if I wrote about Antonella, so I decided to play a little game. I was browsing Technorati’s Top Stories and saw that Antonella Barba has been #1 for a while now. I asked Antonella Barba to give me web traffic, and she did. My blog isn’t very popular, but that didn’t matter, because people wanted a juicy story, and they thought I might give it to them.

It has been just 4 hours since I posted about Antonella Barba and Melinda Doolittle, and during that time I got 175 unique visitors. Not bad for no real content about Antonella. I actually felt a little bit bad for Antonella yesterday, even though every week I kept telling my wife, “she’s gotta go!” Antonella is a pretty girl, but her voice is just no comparison to the front runner of American Idol, Melinda Doolittle.

Melinda Doolittle is by far the best singer in Season 6 of American Idol. She’s got character, she’s got an incredible voice, and she’s a refreshment to listen to and watch. As Simon said, “You little tiger! I thought we had a pussy cat here.” It’s seldom that any singer on American Idol is truly this musically talented. If you haven’t got a chance to watch idol this year yet, you have to hear her. I would buy her album today, if she had one recorded!
