Every Thursday at 4 o’clock, Jen and I met to read the Bible together and talk about life issues. Jen recently got married so often the topic of the day revolved around being a godly wife and God’s design for marriage.Every Wednesday at 5 o’clock, Jen met with Audrey to study the Word and pray together. Jen helped Audrey grow strong in her faith and make good decisions. Often they talked about purity in relationships. Every Thursday at 1 o’clock, Audrey met with Meghan to help her learn about God and apply the Bible to her everyday life. She helped Meghan take her first steps in her new faith. Next year Meghan and her friend, Lori, will lead their own Bible Study in a freshman dorm!
This is what we call spiritual multiplication! We help students grow in their relationship with God so they can turn around and pour into others. This is exactly what Jesus did! He had 12 disciples, but three (Peter, James, and John) who He really spent lots of time with. After He went to the cross, these three men went out and changed the world…one disciple at a time! Today there are millions of people who love and follow Jesus because of the work of God through spiritual multiplication. Who knows, maybe YOU are the spiritual great-great-great-grandchild of Peter!
