The college campus today is way different that five or ten years ago. When I graduated in 2000, only a handful of students had cell phones. Now, it’s an oddity if you don’t have one. An article from Newsweek, High-Tech Hot Spots examines some of the recent trends of how college students use technology today.
The average student:

  • uses a cell phone
  • has a laptop or desktop computer
  • listens to an iPod or other mp3 player
  • has an entry in facebook
  • will check syllabus and hand in assignments through the web
